When? Tuesday, June 26, 2018 | 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Cost? Free but you must place a $30 deposit to assure your attendance at the event.

It will be promptly refunded after you attend. If you do not attend, we will be keeping the deposit. Deadline to cancel your registration and have your deposit refunded is June 19.

Who should attend? Teachers, grade levels 4 -12. Limited to 25 participants.

What to expect: In this all-day workshop, you will learn the difference between Thinking Historically and Thinking Geographically. Hands-on demonstrations will be given on using new tools for educators developed by geographers to analyze and interpret documents, maps, political cartoons and other primary sources. All materials are available on-line and free from AzGA.

  • Using Primary Sources with a Geographic Lens: Applications to Maps, Documents, Audio Visual Materials, Images, and Political Cartoons (hands on activities)
