These workshops are designed to coach you in basic to advanced sand carving techniques. The Intro class will teach the full end to end process; starting with artwork, then film and processing, next is application and technique, then finishing with the final sand carved product.
The advanced class will help student refine their skills, learn different popular techniques and learn how to etch a large variety of substrates. Lots of hands-on experience on both workshops and plenty of fun items will be on hand for student's to etch and take home.
Discuss the basics of creating optimum artwork for sand carving. Learn helpful tips and tricks when creating artwork for halftones.
Produce photoresist films with the world’s only dry-process film, RapidMask, along with other washout films including; R-Series, UltraPeel and more!
Hands-on etching practice and instruction
Learn advanced techniques on how to sand carve a wide variety of substrates. Take a deeper dive into popular sand carving techniques including; stage carving, halftones, color-filling techniques and much more.
Personalize, or etch logos and expressions or images on a variety of substrates including glass, ceramic, stainless steel, rock, etc. You’re welcome to bring your own, unique substrate to personalize.
Be sure to bring and wear work clothes and covered shoes. If minimum class size is not met in a given month, we will automatically move you into the next class.
Class includes materials and instruction needed to produce three quality sand carvings for your showroom.
