This year’s theme at the 5th Annual Arizona Health Equity Conference is Equitable Access to Care for All.

The morning will start off with a keynote address from Dr. Darlene Yee-Melichar, EdD, FAGHE, FGSA. Dr. Yee-Melichar co-chairs the Pacific and Southwest Regional Health Equity Council (aka Regional Health Equity Council for Region IX or RHEC IX). Her experience as co-chair will speak on health equity issues, such as access to care for minority women, and will guide us in implementing policies and practices to your organization.

Following the keynote address, a panel of community leaders will discuss the social and cultural barriers seen in the populations they serve in order to provide access to care and health equity.

After lunch, participants will then have the opportunity to engage in breakout sessions focusing on clinical, research, prevention or policy.
