Join us for a Continental Breakfast on Thursday, November 15th and a second Continental Breakfast on Friday, November 16th.

The course is to assist general industry workers and supervisors to recognize safety hazards and create a safer working environment. Each attendee will receive a copy of the OSHA Standard for General Industry (29 CFR 1910). 3-6 weeks after the class, attendees that participate in all classroom time, will be mailed a U.S. Department of Labor OSHA 10 Hour General Industry wallet card.

  • One Hour: Walking and Working Surfaces, including Fall Protection
  • One Hour: Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection
  • One Hour: Electrical
  • One Hour: Personal Protective Equipment
  • One Hour: Blood-borne Pathogens
  • One Hour: Machine Guarding

Brian Owens, Risk Control Manager – Lovitt & Touché

Brian has served in environmental, health, and safety capacities at every level for the last decade. His knowledge and experience extend beyond mining into construction, oil and gas, pipeline, manufacturing, fabrication, metal re-melt and extrusion. Brian has a Bachelors Degrees in Science, with a major concentration in Occupational Safety & Health. He is a certified MSHA Instructor, OSHA Outreach Authorized trainer for Construction and General Industry, and an internal auditor for the OHSA's 18001 Health & Safety Management System. He has spoken internationally on his theory of Inversion, a concept of perspective based safety culture development.
