Tempe.com is excited to announce that it has partnered with Arizona State University to offer the Tempe.com ASU Scholarship Fund. We fully embrace our hometown college as one of the most respected schools that continually produces top collegiate graduates, particularly in the areas of business, media and broadcasting.
In our unique partnership with ASU, Tempe.com and our sister sites Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Apache Junction and Fountain Hills.com are committed to utilizing the very unique talent pool at ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business and Walter Cronkite School of Journalism for internships. In our relationships we are committed to giving interns the opportunity to learn and thrive in a real, engaging and vibrant working media environment. By providing excellent opportunities to interns, we will help to foster strong business, media and broadcasting opportunities for these ASU students with some of our strategic partners that will evolve into future career homes for many of them.
Our entire staff looks forward to working side-by-side with W.P. Carey students in a variety of fun and unique marketing endeavors and with the Walter Cronkite students for various broadcasting opportunities around Arizona. With all the fun and exciting fundraising events, movie premiers, galas, networking events and culinary happenings, our goal to give interns the opportunity to take the ball and run with it in their most creative and business-minded ways.
We are very grateful to Sundt Construction and its President and CEO, Dave Crawford for their very generous support for this fruitful initiative. Crawford has been in the construction industry and affiliated with the Sundt family of companies since 1968. He was named to his current position in 2011. He is a registered Professional Civil Engineer in the states of Arizona, Colorado and Texas and has held a number of high-level positions in industry groups. He is past president of the Design Build Institute of America and currently on the board of directors of the Alliance for Construction Excellence and the Lean Construction Institute. We look to Crawford’s leadership and business expertise as we further develop the Tempe.com ASU Scholarship Fund in the years to come.
